The activity of the Department of “Logistics and transport management” is aimed at training modern, competent managers in the provision of transport and logistics services capable of carrying out professional activities and solving non-standard problems in transport. Professional activity of the students in the field of services is aimed at compilation of logistic chains on the basis of application of advanced technologies; support of logistic procedures through various digital tools; simulation of through logistic flows passing through the enterprise of transport-logistic complex; calculation of economic feasibility of changes in nomenclature of warehouses, size of goods stocks; design of profit generating systems in logistics (contractor’s inventory storage, economies of scale, service provision).
The department’s best trainers are on hand to offer a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field of logistics:
Musalieva R.D. – Head of the Department “Logistics and Transport Management” of ALT, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of ALT, more than 20 years of work experience, has theoretical experience in the application of digital technologies in transport logistics.
Izteleuova M. S. – Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, has more than 40 years of experience in the field of transport logistics, business process reengineering,freight forwarding.
Musabaev B. K. – Professor of the Academy of Logistics and Transport, Doctor of Technical Sciences, has more than 30 years of experience in the field of organization of freight transportation and commercial activities in railway transport.
Murzabekova K. A. – Associate Professor, Candidate of Technical Sciences, associate professor, has more than 20 years of work experience in the field of transport services and warehouse logistics.

Learning outcomes:
– Demonstrate basic laws of mathematics in solving logistics, transport problems for application in transport and communication industry.
– Is able to demonstrate information and communication systems using e-learning and mobile learning technologies, digital technology tools.
– Use programming environment in the management of transport flows in the process of cargo delivery in the context of globalised logistics systems in compliance with regulations.
– Apply logistics models and methods in the management of material flows in production, distribution, billing.
– Improve the reliability and resilience of supply chains under conditions of risk and uncertainty in the external environment and using the digital supply chain controlling system.
– Design logistics transport and cargo systems and flow processes with optimisation of storage equipment parameters by cargo type as an integrated digital platform.
– Develop optimal passenger transport schemes to ensure the safety and quality of transport in the transport and logistics market.
– Apply innovative solutions in the design of logistics systems and transport and logistics infrastructure facilities to optimise technical and technological processes in the supply chain.
