Old people are our pearl. This is a celebration of our grandfathers, elders and grandmothers, who continue the path of their ancestors. This holiday is very important for the younger generation. On October 1, the whole country celebrates the “Day of the Elderly”. Nobility, respect for elders, showing respect to them is a quality that comes from the ancestors. A country rich in elderly people is a country of treasures. And it is the task of descendants to honor such intimate old people, to take an example from them. On
October 14, 2024, an event dedicated to the “Day of the Elderly” was held, headed by the President-Rector of the ALT University named after M. Tynyshpaev Amirgalieva Saltanat Nuradilovna. 30 University veterans were invited to the event. At the solemn meeting, the head of the University summarized the results of the past academic year and announced plans for the future. She awarded the guests with commemorative medals for the 145th anniversary of M.Tynyshpaeva. The Chairman of the University‘s trade union presented certificates for receiving food. Participants of creative student clubs filled the meeting with bright colors, performing cui on dombra and accompanied by cheerful a cappella songs.
The veterans experienced happiness from meeting each other, from the warm welcome, from the kind energy of the students. We received a lot of positive emotions.
