The meeting of 1st year students with representatives of the Department of Internal Affairs took place on September 12, 2024. The speaker of the meeting was the senior inspector of the Department of road and technical inspection of the UAP DP of Almaty, Lieutenant Colonel of the police Ainakulov Saken Abdykalykovich. Ainakulov S.A. spoke about alternative modes of transport, such as scooters, mopeds, scooters, etc. The lieutenant colonel reported on the situation in the city, fixing the official statistics of the city‘s traffic accidents. In the last 8 months of 2024, 523 accidents involving mopeds were committed, 535 people were injured, and 11 road users died. 69 people committed accidents on scooters, 75 were injured. According to the results of the accident, 1,337 pedestrian collisions were committed on these types of transport, 38 people were killed. The above-mentioned transport is considered to be the most dangerous types of transport.
He accompanied his report with videos taken from the city‘s security cameras. The students clearly saw traffic accidents committed by scooters and mopedists. At the end of the meeting, the students asked various questions about the rules of behavior on the road, both driver and pedestrian.
