EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM

6B07188 IT ENERGY

Training of qualified and competitive specialists in operational dispatch control in the electric power industry based on IT technologies for changing the technological mode of operation and operational state of dispatching facilities.

The Department of Energy trains specialists in the field of power supply to railways and industrial enterprises, including for the metro. Teachers with experience in production are ready to provide high-quality knowledge and practical experience in the field of electric power:

Sadykbek Toleuserik Abishuly Professor of ALT, Honored Power Engineer, has more than 50 years of experience in the field of energy.

Yerzhan Assem Anuarkyzy – Associate Professor of ALT.

Abdrakhmanov Yerkesh Abdrakhmanovich – Associate Professor, Honored Power Engineer, has more than 40 years of experience in the field of energy.

Abdukarimov Sadratdin – Associate Professor.

Anara Egzekova – Associate Professor of ALT.

Sapakov Askar Zamanbekovich – Associate Professor of ALT.

— Integrate the achievements of modern software and IT technologies in all areas of the electric power industry.

– To apply modern engineering methods to ensure safe life, electrical and fire safety and environmental protection.

– To apply a technical and economic analysis of the activities of energy enterprises for a comprehensive justification of management decisions and evaluation of results.

– To assess the operating parameters of electrical circuits and electrical equipment using information and measuring equipment and electronic devices.

– Analyze the impact of high voltage and electromagnetic compatibility on the quality of electric power and equipment of electrical networks and substations.

– Determine normal and emergency modes for possible options and parameters of microprocessor-based relay protection and automation.

– Use various types of information and communication technologies in their professional activities, storage, processing, protection and dissemination of information

– Possess the means and environment of programming, modern programming technologies.

– Apply mathematical models and methods of various processes, design software database architectures and information systems.

– Use interfaces, install, configure, test and maintain system and application software for computer systems and networks.

– Use software, hardware, information, mathematical, functional support of information systems, including algorithms and modeling methods for the formation of professional competencies.

The sphere of professional activity is aimed at creating conditions for the production, transmission, distribution and consumption of electricity for railway facilities and industrial enterprises.

The objects of professional activity of graduates are enterprises: branches of NC KTZ JSC power supply distances, AZhK JSC, Almaty Metro Kurylys, Almaty Power Plants (AlES), including CHPP-1, CHP-2, CHP-3 and other heat power facilities, Allageyim Electric, as well as power supply to enterprises in various industries.

Graduates can work: as an energy dispatcher, specialists of the operational dispatch control service, an electrician (repair and audit) of the section, an electrician (traction and electrical substation, power supply area), an electrician (contact network).

For the training of highly qualified specialists, in accordance with the requirements of higher education, it is necessary today to have a modern material and technical base. The department has specialized laboratories, and a branch of the department also operates on the basis of the Almaty power supply division. Friendly, scientific and methodological relations have been established and actively maintained with the Omsk State University of Railway Engineering, the Moscow State University of Railway Engineering (RUT), the Samara State University of Railway Engineering, the Ural State University of Railway Engineering, the Technical University of Dresden, the Institute of Transport Studies of the University of California, the Korean National University of Transport, the Lanzhou University of Transport and Communications, the International University of Logistics and Transport of Wroclaw and other partner universities. The result of this cooperation is the academic mobility of students in major disciplines.

Partners and potential bases of practice are Almaty Power Plants (AlES), including CHPP-1, CHPP-2, CHPP-3 and other heat power facilities, Allageyim Electric, branches of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC – power supply divisions, Alatau Zharyk Company JSC (AZhK), Almaty Metro Kurylys LLP and other energy enterprises. Interaction with specialized organizations contributes to the acquisition of practical skills in the operation and maintenance of power equipment, the study of modern technologies for the production and distribution of thermal energy, as well as the formation of professional competencies of future specialists in the field of heat power engineering.

Students of the educational program 6B07199 “Nuclear Power Plants and Installations” undergo all types of internships in leading companies in Kazakhstan, including Almaty Power Plants (AlES) – CHP-1, CHP-2, CHP-3 and other facilities, Allageyim Electric, branches of NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC – power supply distances, Alatau Zharyk Company JSC (AZhK), Almaty Metro Kurylys LLP and other energy enterprises. The advantage is the opportunity for nonresident students to undergo practical training at the place of residence in various regions of Kazakhstan in the presence of relevant branches and partner enterprises.
