The round table of the Department of ATS and Belarusian Railways, held on 24.04.2026, is devoted to the analysis of the development of infrastructure for electric vehicles in Kazakhstan within the framework of global trends in 2026. The author noted the rapid growth of the domestic fleet of electric cars, which is accompanied by a clear infrastructural shortage: a shortage of charging stations outside large metropolitan areas and high wear and tear of electric distribution networks.

The paper examines in detail the climatic, legal and fire barriers, as well as the economic nuances and environmental paradox associated with the predominance of coal mining in the country.

In conclusion, a set of practical recommendations on the state strategy until 2030 and the successful electrification of the transport system of Kazakhstan is presented.
