On March 4, in anticipation of International Women’s Day, the staff of the Department of General Engineering visited the “Special (Correctional) Boarding School No. 9 for Children with Severe Speech Impairments.”
The meeting took place in an atmosphere of sincere friendship and spring inspiration. Department representatives congratulated the teachers and female students, highlighting their resilience and talent. The highlight of the celebration was a joint concert featuring both university students and schoolchildren. The children joyfully showcased their talents, turning the event into a true celebration of mutual support.
This event represents the department’s practical contribution to the implementation of the Global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
• SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being): Organizing the celebration and providing art-therapeutic impact through creativity contributes to the improvement of the children’s psycho-emotional state.
• SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities): The visit aimed at the social integration of the boarding school students, breaking down communication barriers, and promoting the values of equal opportunity for every child.
At the conclusion of the visit, the guests presented commemorative gifts and treats. The school administration thanked the faculty for their compassion, noting that such meetings help the students feel like an essential part of a larger society. The warmth of the day was captured in a group photo, which became a symbol of unity and kindness.
