On March 31, 2026, first-year students defended their posters in English as part of a project dedicated to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The event aimed to enhance students’ understanding of global issues and encourage them to find innovative solutions.
During the defense, centered on the theme “Life in the future: My vision of the 21st century,” students addressed critical topics such as clean energy, sustainable cities, and responsible consumption. Participants not only designed visual materials but also provided reasoned arguments for their ideas, offering practical ways to implement the SDGs in everyday life.
The session promoted critical thinking, public speaking, and teamwork skills. The students demonstrated high levels of preparation and a genuine interest in solving current global problems. This poster defense proved to be an effective method for fostering social responsibility and engaging students in sustainable development initiatives. The event was organized by M.M. Shaizhanova, Senior Lecturer of the Language Education Department.
