M.Tynyshbayev ALT University hosted a guest lecture delivered by Nikita Igorevich Shiryaev, Technical Development Manager at Rettenmaier Rus LLC, on the topic “Innovations in Road Construction.” The event was held as part of the university’s educational initiatives aimed at broadening the professional horizons of engineering students.
Rettenmaier Rus is a leading international producer of high-tech fiber materials widely used in the construction and rehabilitation of highways, airfield pavements, and other infrastructure facilities.
During the lecture, Mr. Shiryaev discussed modern technologies for improving the strength and durability of road surfaces, the use of cellulose and mineral fibers in asphalt mixtures, as well as global trends and practical examples of innovative solutions in the road construction industry.
Students learned about advanced road structure design methods, key standards, production process specifics, and real-world projects implemented by the company in various countries. The lecturer also highlighted issues of sustainability, environmental safety of materials, and the prospects for introducing innovations into Kazakhstan’s road construction sector.
The guest lecture generated strong interest among students, who actively participated in the discussion, asked questions, and shared their professional aspirations.
