Within the strategic framework of cooperation between Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev ALT University and Kazakhtelecom JSC, a specialized corporate educational seminar was conducted for 2nd and 3rd-year undergraduate students of the Department of Telecommunications enrolled in Radio Engineering, Electronics, and Telecommunications (RET) and Telecommunication Systems and Railway Communication Networks (TKS) degree programs. The initiative aimed to reinforce professional competencies and expand student expertise in modern telecommunication infrastructures.
The keynote speaker for the session was Muhabbat Tashmakhametovna Simetova, Senior Partner for Learning and Development at the Kazakhtelecom Corporate University, who presented a comprehensive masterclass covering corporate networks, service frameworks, and advanced telecommunication technologies.
During the interactive lecture, students gained technical insights into fiber-optic communications, core data transmission backbones, DWDM, IP/MPLS, and GPON systems, next-generation cellular networks, cloud infrastructure, and Internet of Things (IoT) platforms.
Special focus was directed toward deploying state-of-the-art technological solutions within the telecommunications sector, expanding digital literacy, and building practical domain knowledge critical for engineering careers.
The event facilitated the expansion of students’ professional horizon, tightened the linkage between academic instruction and industry practice, and further consolidated university-employer partnerships.
This initiative directly supports UN Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by broadening access to cutting-edge industry expertise, improving engineering pedagogy, and training highly skilled technical specialists.
