On April 20, 2026, the leadership of ALT University held a working meeting with Zhang Kai, General Director of Laihua Online (Wuhan) International Education Technology Co., Ltd. The meeting focused on the development of international cooperation, the launch of joint educational initiatives, and the training of specialists for the automotive industry.

Laihua Online (Wuhan) International Education Technology Co., Ltd. is a premier digital platform providing students with information on study abroad opportunities, including programs in China.

A pivotal topic of the meeting was the discussion regarding the opening of the “Changan Workshop” laboratory at the university. This new project aims to advance practice-oriented learning, implement modern technologies, and cultivate a workforce tailored to the requirements of the automotive manufacturing sector.

During the negotiations, the parties discussed mutual understanding and cooperation regarding the “Changan Workshop” project, as well as the joint establishment of a new educational platform based at the university.

As part of the visit, the participants also toured Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan, a multi-brand full-cycle plant for the production of passenger cars, where Changan vehicles are manufactured.

A guided tour of the facility’s production areas was organized for the guests. Participants had the opportunity to observe modern technological processes, including welding, painting, and vehicle assembly.

Notably, Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan is the only multi-brand plant in the world that produces vehicles for leading competing Chinese brands. The facility’s production capacity is designed for up to 120,000 vehicles per year, and upon reaching full operational capacity, it will provide approximately 3,600 jobs.

For ALT University, the implementation of such initiatives creates new horizons for training engineers and technical specialists, strengthens international ties, and facilitates the integration of education with the real sector of the economy.

The university remains committed to developing modern educational infrastructure, expanding its partner network, and integrating leading international practices into the academic process.
