On September 4, ALT University held an information session for the university’s faculty and academic staff with Kaisar Kairatuly Yerkinbayev, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “Center for International Programs.”

The meeting covered the main areas of work of JSC “Center for International Programs” (CIP), established in 2005 by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan: the “Bolashak” international scholarship (master’s, doctoral, and residency programs, professional internships), the scientific internship program, intergovernmental grants, and the Study in Kazakhstan project.

Special attention was given to the terms of participation in the competition for the “Bolashak” scholarship: candidate requirements, applicant categories (including university faculty and researchers), the required package of documents — diploma, Kaztest and international language certificates (IELTS/TOEFL/DET), a motivation letter — as well as the selection stages.

The speaker also spoke in detail about the “Scientific Internships” program: internship duration (3 to 12 months), candidate requirements (academic degree, work experience, invitation from the host organization, scientific publications), and the three selection stages — comprehensive testing, an interview with the expert commission, and a decision by the Republican Commission.

Participants were reminded that the “Bolashak” scholarship covers tuition fees, a monthly stipend, health insurance, flights, visa fees, and study materials.

The meeting was held in an open dialogue format — university staff asked questions and received practical guidance on preparing documents and passing the selection process.

ALT University thanks the representatives of JSC “Center for International Programs” for an informative meeting and will continue to keep staff updated on new opportunities under international scholarship programs.
