On March 26, 2026, Aidyn Kabduldinov, Chief of the Almaty Police Department, held a public meeting at the Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev ALT University.
During the visit, a campus tour was organized for the Police Department representatives, led by the Chairwoman of the Board – Rector of the University, Meruert Zharmagambetova, and the university’s senior management. The delegation was introduced to modern lecture halls, specialized laboratories, and the upgraded campus infrastructure. Key areas of university development were highlighted, ranging from the digitalization of the educational environment to the training of high-demand engineering and technical specialists.
During the reporting meeting with the public, it was noted that police activities are currently focused on several key areas: crime prevention, digitalization of processes, and development of international cooperation. The Police Department is actively implementing modern technologies, including AI-based analytical systems, unmanned aerial vehicles, and digital solutions for evidence management.
Special attention is being paid to combating the distribution of narcotics, including the fight against drug advertisements. With the help of volunteers and concerned citizens, over 15,000 graffiti ads for drugs have been removed, and approximately 2,900 internet resources have been identified and blocked.
Such meetings facilitate an open dialogue between society, the educational community, and law enforcement agencies, helping to form a joint agenda on issues of safety and crime prevention.
