On October 28–29, 2026, ALT University hosted the 13th KAZLOGISTICS Youth Transport Forum, held under the theme “Digital Transformation of Transport — Creating the Transport of the Future.”
The event was organized by the Union of Transport Workers of Kazakhstan (KAZLOGISTICS) and ALT University, with the support of JSC National Company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy.
The forum brought together representatives from 11 universities, providing a platform for knowledge exchange, presentations of innovative student projects, and discussions on the future development of the transport and logistics industry.
Young People and the Digital Transformation of Transport
The central theme of the forum focused on the development of the transport sector through digitalization and the introduction of innovative technologies.
Special attention was given to the role of young professionals in shaping the future of transport, developing engineering thinking and digital competencies, and finding modern solutions to current industry challenges.
The participation of students from different universities brought together diverse approaches, ideas, and perspectives on the future development of transport systems.
Innovative Projects and New Ideas
One of the most engaging aspects of the forum was the presentation of student projects.
Participants from 11 universities presented interesting and promising developments, demonstrating strong engagement, creativity, and a commitment to applying their knowledge to practical challenges in the transport industry.
Each project offered a distinctive approach to the issues addressed, while the diversity of ideas highlighted the significant potential of young people to contribute to the development of modern transport technologies.
A particularly valuable aspect of the forum was the opportunity to explore projects developed by other universities, exchange opinions, and gain new ideas for future academic, research, and project activities.
The forum served not only as a platform for showcasing student initiatives but also as a space for professional communication, mutual learning, and building new connections among future transport professionals.
Sports, Team Spirit, and Interuniversity Cooperation
The event also included the 4th KAZLOGISTICS Spartakiad among Transport Universities.
The sports programme complemented the educational and professional components of the forum, bringing participants together in an atmosphere of friendly competition and mutual support.
Such activities promote healthy lifestyles, physical activity, teamwork, and stronger connections between universities.
Significance of the Forum for Future Professionals
Participation in youth industry forums plays an important role in students’ professional development.
These platforms enable future specialists not only to present their own projects but also to explore current trends in the transport industry, learn to communicate and justify their ideas, and strengthen their communication and teamwork skills.
For ALT University, hosting the forum was particularly significant, as it contributed to strengthening cooperation among educational institutions, professional communities, and the transport and logistics sector.
Supporting student initiatives, developing young people’s research potential, and creating opportunities for the exchange of innovative ideas are essential elements in preparing a new generation of competitive professionals.
