Professor of the “Rolling Stock” Department at ALT University, PhD Bakhyt G.B., in collaboration with scientists from Satbayev University, has published significant research results focused on achieving sustainable development goals.
The study titled “Formation of reactive species during plasma treatment of wastewater from the mining and petroleum industries” was featured in the latest issue of the Mining of Mineral Deposits journal (Scopus CiteScore – 79th percentile, Web of Science – Q2). The research explores cutting-edge plasma treatment technologies for industrial wastewater.
The work directly contributes to the following Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
-
SDG 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation: Improving water quality through effective industrial wastewater treatment.
-
SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure: Implementing innovative treatment methods based on plasma technology.
-
SDG 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production: Reducing the environmental footprint of industrial waste.
-
SDG 13 – Climate Action: Utilizing eco-friendly technologies to lower harmful emissions.
This research represents a major advancement in scientific and innovative solutions for industrial ecology and supports Kazakhstan’s commitment to a sustainable future.
