On March 19, a guest lecture titled “The Automotive Industry in a Sustainable City: Market and Career Opportunities” was held at ALT University, attracting strong interest from both students and faculty.
The invited speaker was Sergey Valeryevich Rodnov, Technical Director of Merkür Autos (part of Orbis Auto). His extensive professional experience and deep industry knowledge provided participants with a relevant and practice-oriented perspective on the development of the automotive industry.
During the lecture, key trends of the modern automotive market were discussed, including the transition to environmentally friendly transport, the development of electric vehicles, and the integration of innovative technologies into urban mobility. Special attention was given to the concept of a sustainable city, where transport plays a crucial role in reducing the carbon footprint and improving the quality of life.
Sergey Valeryevich also shared insights into career opportunities in the automotive sector, emphasizing the growing demand for specialists with interdisciplinary skills — from engineering to environmental science and digital technologies. Participants actively asked questions related to both technical aspects and career development in the industry.
The lecture was held in the Orbis Auto laboratory at ALT University, creating a highly practical and engaging environment.
