On 18 September 2026, first-year students from the Department of Computer Science visited Qazaq Investment Company for an introductory tour.
Qazaq Investment Company has operated in the market since 2012, developing B2B supplies of IT equipment, systems integration, and service support for corporate clients throughout Kazakhstan. Since 2017, the company has also developed its own computer hardware production under the QT brand, ranging from desktop computers and workstations to server and interactive equipment. In 2019, the company launched an assembly-line production process for personal computers and received the Made in Kazakhstan certificate.
During the tour, the students learned about the company’s operations, production infrastructure, and the main stages of computer hardware manufacturing. Representatives of Qazaq Investment Company spoke about working in the IT industry, modern technological processes, the equipment used, and the professional responsibilities of specialists.
The company’s manufacturing operations attracted particular interest. Today, Qazaq Investment Company is developing automated production of computer hardware, server equipment, interactive systems, and components. Its future areas of development include the production of SSDs, RAM modules, and motherboards, as well as the development of proprietary software and QT BIOS firmware.
The tour enabled the students to see the practical side of their future profession, learn about modern IT manufacturing in Kazakhstan, and broaden their understanding of career development opportunities in information technology.
