Students of the 6B06209 Radio Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications and 6B06208 Telecommunication Systems and Communication Networks educational programs visited the Almaty Museum of Arts in Almaty. The museum is one of the first modern private art museums in Kazakhstan, established on the initiative of collector Nurlan Smagulov.
During the excursion, students became acquainted with artworks created by Kazakhstani and international artists and gained valuable knowledge about the distinctive features of contemporary art. The museum’s exhibitions included paintings, sculptures, graphic artworks, and modern installations, each reflecting unique artistic ideas and concepts.
The museum’s architecture and modern interior design made a strong impression on the students. They carefully examined the exhibits, discussed their meaning and significance, and reflected on the role of art in contemporary society. Particular interest was shown in the works of Kazakhstani artists, which highlight national culture and modern artistic trends.
Museum staff provided detailed information about the history of art, the development of artistic culture, and the formation of the museum’s collection. Students actively participated in the excursion, asked questions, and demonstrated a genuine interest in the world of art.
At the end of the visit, students shared their impressions and emphasized the importance of such cultural and educational excursions in broadening horizons, developing aesthetic appreciation, and fostering respect for cultural values. Overall, the visit to the Almaty Museum of Arts was an informative, enriching, and memorable experience for all participants.
