On May 5, 2026, as part of the implementation of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) — “Quality Education,” the ICT Department held a guest lecture for students of the Information Security Systems (ISS) program.

The event featured Nurzhan Rakhimov, General Director of Zeid Security LLP, delivering a lecture on “Cybersecurity and AI: Challenges, Risks, and Threats.”

The lecture addressed current challenges in information and cybersecurity, the risks and threats associated with the use of artificial intelligence, as well as current approaches to protecting information and preventing cyberattacks.

Particular attention was paid to the development of cybersecurity in Kazakhstan, the prospects for the implementation of AI technologies, and the requirements of the modern labor market for future IT specialists.

The event was held in an open dialogue format. Students actively asked questions and expressed interest in internship opportunities, professional development, and the practical application of AI in information security.

Holding such meetings helps expand students’ professional horizons, strengthen ties between the university and the IT industry, and develop practice-oriented learning.
