Together with 2nd-year students of the “Information Technology” program, we attended the play “The Eternal Child Image” («Мәңгілік бала бейне»), based on the work by Rollan Seisenbayev.
The performance profoundly portrays the devastating consequences of the Semipalatinsk nuclear test site through the life of a girl named Laila. Suffering from radiation, she becomes a victim of human error: while her body matures, her inner world remains that of a child. Laila serves as a symbol of eternal childhood and the tragic price of environmental and historical mistakes.
The students were deeply moved by the character’s pure perception of life and her hope for human kindness. This experience helped the future IT specialists reflect on critical values such as compassion, humanity, and global responsibility. “The Eternal Child Image” is a powerful masterpiece that leaves a lasting moral and educational impact on the younger generation.
