On February 3, 2026, within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals, specifically SDG 13 – Climate Action, a screening of the film “Greenland 2: Migration” was organized for students of groups 299 and 305. Supervisors are Senior Lecturers of the Department of Language Education, Madeniyet Nurgul and Iztaeva Zhanerke. The purpose of the event was to increase students’ awareness of climate change, global warming, and the impact of environmental disasters on human life, as well as to foster environmental responsibility.
The film highlighted natural disasters caused by climate change, the melting of glaciers, and the resulting large-scale human migration. After the screening, a discussion was held during which students emphasized the environmental and social significance of the climate crisis.
As a result, the event contributed to expanding students’ understanding of the Sustainable Development Goals and strengthening their sense of responsibility for environmental protection.
