As part of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, in particular SDG 7 “Affordable and Clean Energy,” training sessions were conducted within the discipline “Alternative Energy Sources.” The classes were held in a new modern laboratory equipped with specialized facilities for renewable energy sources (RES).
The laboratory features educational stands that allow students to study in practice the operating principles of solar power plants, including energy conversion and subsequent storage. Special attention is given to the integration of theory and practice: photovoltaic panels on the roof and the energy storage battery system located directly in the laboratory enable students to observe the full cycle of a solar energy system—from generation to utilization.
In addition, the laboratory is equipped with a wind generator stand and additional installations for studying solar energy. The establishment of such a laboratory contributes to the development of students’ practical skills and a deeper understanding of modern clean energy technologies, representing an important step toward a sustainable future.
