We were delighted to welcome Erik Aytkazin, Head of RRU at the Almaty Power Supply Section, who delivered an engaging lecture on “Testing Power Transformers of a Traction Substation.”
The lecture was not only informative but also practice-oriented: 3rd and 4th-year students had the opportunity to explore the real processes of transformer equipment operation, understand the importance of precise testing methods, and see how this knowledge is applied in professional practice.
This experience directly supports SDG 4 – Quality Education, enabling students to acquire modern practical knowledge and develop professional competencies.
It is also an example of SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals, as the lecture was made possible through collaboration between the university and a leading industry specialist, strengthening the link between academia and real-world energy practice.
We thank Erik Aytkazin for his contribution to educating future energy specialists and for his lively, engaging interaction with students!
