Within the framework of the implementation of SDG 4 “Quality Education,” on April 30, 2026, the Department of Information and Communication Technologies held a foresight session on the topic: “Prospects for the Development of Training in Information Security.”
The event was attended by research staff of the Information Security Laboratory of the Institute of Information and Computational Technologies of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The participants possess significant practical experience and a deep understanding of current industry trends in the field of information security.
During the session, the educational program 6B06328 “Information Security Systems” was reviewed. The participants discussed the content of the disciplines, proposed updates in line with modern labor market requirements, and emphasized the need to strengthen the practice-oriented training of students. It was also proposed to further review the list of disciplines, their sequence, and content.
Following the discussion, agreements were reached on students undertaking industrial internships at a research institute, as well as on further development of cooperation.
In the near future, the ICT Department plans to update the curricula taking into account the recommendations received.
