The Department of Power Engineering organized a guestlecture dedicatedtomodern digital technologies in the power industry, in particular, the use of SCADA systems and ASKUE for students of the OP Power Engineering and IT PowerEngineering.
Speakers of the event were O. A. Zinovieva, Head of the Software department of ASDU (Automated Dispatching Control System), and N. V.Sugaikina, leading engineer of JSC “Alatau Zharyk Companyasi”, an expert on ASKUE.
During the presentation, the experts covered in detail the key areas of digitalization of the energy industry: the role of SCADA systems in the energysector, the principles of building automated dispatch control systems, their architecture, and the functions of monitoring and managing energy facilities. Special attention was paid to improving the reliability, security and efficiency of network management. She presented state — of-the-art solutions for automated electricity metering, demonstrated schemes for implementing ACME at enterprises and in the household sector, and revealed the advantages of the system for energy companies and consumers-from accurate metering to reducing losses and optimizing costs.
Students and participants of the meeting had the opportunity to ask questions to specialists, discuss real cases and get acquainted with examples of implementing systems at energy infrastructure facilities. The lecturers emphasized that digital technologies are becoming a key tool for improving the efficiency and reliability of energy supply.
The guest lecture became a valuable event for future engineers and specialists, allowed them to expand their professional knowledge and see current trends in the industry development.
