On October 2, 2026, ALT University named after Mukhametzhan Tynyshpayev hosted a guest lecture organized by the Department of Logistics and Business. The lecture was delivered by Murat Maratovich Toregeldin, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy”, on the topic “Strategic Rationale for the Development of New Railway Routes.”

The meeting, held in lecture hall R202, brought together students and faculty members of the University. The guest lecture provided an important platform for professional dialogue with one of the executives of Kazakhstan’s largest transport company and for discussing current issues related to the development of the country’s railway sector.

During his presentation, Murat Toregeldin focused on the strategic importance of developing new railway routes, the key factors that should be considered in their planning, as well as current trends and future prospects for the transport industry.

Particular attention was paid to the role of railway infrastructure in improving transport connectivity, developing freight transportation, and further strengthening Kazakhstan’s transport and logistics potential.

The interactive part of the meeting generated particular interest among the students. Students of the Department of Logistics and Business actively engaged in a professional dialogue with the speaker, asking questions about the development of the railway industry, the prospects for new routes, and current challenges facing Kazakhstan’s transport system. Murat Toregeldin provided detailed answers, shared his professional experience, and offered practical insights into the issues discussed. This open format gave participants an opportunity to receive up-to-date information directly from an industry representative and discuss topics of professional interest with one of the executives of JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy”.

The lively dialogue between the students and the industry representative made the guest lecture particularly engaging and practice-oriented, highlighting the importance of direct interaction between future specialists and the professional community.

Such meetings help strengthen cooperation between the University and the transport industry, allowing students to complement their theoretical knowledge with practical insights, gain a better understanding of real professional challenges, and become familiar with current requirements for specialists in the transport and logistics sector.
