On the framework of SDG 4 “Quality Education” on April 16, 2026, Associate Professor of the Department of “Social-Humanitarian Sciences and Physical Education” G.S. Shamshieva organized and conducted a meeting with Professor B.B. Karibayev, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The topic of the meeting was about “Education and the Political History of the Kazakh Khanate.” During the lecture, the speaker emphasized that understanding the history of the Kazakh Khanate requires relying on three key sources: oral, written, and historiographical data. Special attention was given to the work of M.H. Dulati, “Tarikh-i Rashidi,” as one of the earliest written sources on the history of the Kazakh Khanate. The studies of Shokan Valikhanov, M. Tynyshpayev, and several other historians were also mentioned.
The speaker elaborated on the process of the formation of the Kazakh Khanate, its distinctive features, and historical challenges, highlighting the importance of an objective study of national history.
The meeting attracted great interest among students and was held in the format of an active dialogue. At the end of the event, participants asked questions, and the guest was presented with commemorative souvenirs from the university.
