On September 12, 2025, ALT University named after Mukhamedzhan Tynyshbaev hosted a large-scale event — the Huawei ICT Competition Roadshow.
As part of promoting the President’s initiatives on digitalization and supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4 “Quality Education” and SDG 9 “Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure”), the Department of RT together with Huawei organized this event to engage students and faculty in the international Huawei ICT Competition, as well as to introduce the opportunities offered by Huawei ICT Academy programs implemented at universities worldwide.
ALT University and Huawei ICT Academy
ALT University is an official participant of the Huawei ICT Academy program, which provides students and faculty with access to modern educational resources, certifications, and international competitions. Hosting the Roadshow at the university marked an important step in strengthening cooperation with Huawei.
Organizers and Partners
The event was organized by the Department of RT under the leadership of Head of Department Ms. G.D. Musapirova and representatives of Huawei, serving as the support center for Huawei ICT Academy. Their involvement ensured a high-quality event and gave ALT University students a direct introduction to the company’s main areas of activity.
Participants
The Roadshow was attended by students, faculty, and staff of ALT University. The participants were informed about the structure of the international Huawei ICT Competition, the rules for participation, as well as the opportunities available to winners at the global level — internships, international recognition, and career prospects.
Results
The event became a vivid example of integrating academia and the business community. It highlighted the importance of preparing future IT specialists and developing digital competencies within the framework of the strategic partnership between ALT University and Huawei.
