For educational purposes, the 1st year students (46 group) together with the senior lecturer of the Department of “Language Education” Shaizhanova M.M. visited the Museum of Almaty. During the tour, the students got acquainted with the expositions reflecting the history of the city’s development, its cultural heritage and key stages of its formation.
The tour allowed the students to deepen their knowledge of the historical and cultural development of Almaty, to form a more holistic view of the importance of preserving the national heritage.
This event is also related to the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, in particular SDG 4 (quality education) and SDG 11 (sustainable cities and communities), as it aims to expand the educational space and raise awareness of the importance of preserving cultural values.
As a result of visiting the museum, the students gained new knowledge, broadened their horizons and strengthened their interest in the history and culture of their hometown.
