On April 24, 2026, ALT University named after M. Tynyshpaev organized a series of educational activities within the framework of international academic mobility for students of OMГУПС, studying under joint educational programs with the People’s Republic of China.
Under the guidance of Senior Lecturer T.K. Omarova, students visited the Almaty Heavy Engineering Plant (AZTM), where they explored key stages of mechanical engineering production: casting, forging and pressing, and machining processes. Participants gained insights into modern technologies applied at the enterprise, as well as the organization of production processes and the integration of automation elements.
At the university, students also underwent practical training with the KUKA industrial robot. The program included SmartPad control, coordinate system setup, basic programming, and execution of technological tasks. Special attention was paid to hands-on skills in robot programming and operation.
These activities are an essential part of the international academic mobility program, fostering intercultural exchange, knowledge sharing, and improving the quality of training specialists in mechanical engineering and automation.
