On March 27, 2026, a guest lecture was held at ALT University named after M. Tynyshpayev featuring Aizhan Kalkenovna Tuganova, Director of the Zhambyl regional branch of NC “KazAvtoZhol” JSC, at the Department of Architectural and Construction Engineering. The session was attended by students of the “Highways and Airfields” and “Construction of Highways and Airfields” programs (groups ADA-23-1k, ADA-23-2p, SAD-23-1k).
The topic was: “Construction and maintenance of cement-concrete paved highways of the Western Europe-Western China International Transit Corridor.” The lecture covered modern technologies for concrete pavements, design specifics, and quality requirements for road structures. Special focus was placed on the role of the “Western Europe-Western China” corridor in boosting Kazakhstan’s transit and logistics attractiveness.
The lecturer shared practical expertise from the Zhambyl branch, discussing construction management, quality control, and the use of innovative materials. Through real-world examples, students explored production challenges and their solutions. This session helped students deepen their theoretical knowledge and gain practical insights into the operation of international-class highways, fostering key competencies in infrastructure management.
