On February 10, 2026, Almaty Management University (ALMAU) hosted a seminar-workshop titled “Clinical Psychology in Kazakhstan and Worldwide,” organized by the Sharmanov School of Health Sciences (SSNS).
The event was attended by Daria Rakhimalievna Shabdenova, Head of the Office of Inclusive Education and Mental Health, the Directors of the ITS and ILB Institutes, and academic advisors. The keynote speaker was Sandugash Kansarovna Kudaibergenova, Ph.D. in Psychology and psychologist at the Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Mental Health of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Part I – Lecture session: Development of clinical psychology, modern approaches, and professional challenges.

Part II – Practical training: Fundamentals of suicide prevention, risk and protective factors, and appropriate response strategies including referral pathways.
As a result, participants gained updated knowledge and practical tools for early identification of crisis conditions and support mechanisms for students at risk. The event contributes to the implementation of SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and SDG 4 (Quality Education).
