On April 27, 2026, Nurlan Kanatbekuly, Senior Lecturer of the Department of “Motor Vehicles and Life Safety,” conducted a methodological seminar titled “Teaching using the Jigsaw technology.”
Highlights of the Method:
-
Active Participation: Unlike traditional teacher-centered models, the Jigsaw method encourages students to become active participants—moving from passive listeners to researchers and instructors.
-
Peer-to-Peer Learning: Each student masters a specific segment of the topic and acts as an “expert,” teaching their findings to other group members.
-
Skill Enhancement: This collaborative approach significantly boosts communication skills, critical thinking, and individual responsibility within a team.
The seminar demonstrated that the Jigsaw method not only makes the learning process more engaging but also ensures a deeper and more sustainable understanding of complex subjects.
