On April 1, 2026, as part of SDG 4 — “Quality Education” — students of the IVD University participated in a field training session for the “Military History” course on the topic “Kazakhstan during the Great Patriotic War.”
The event was timed to coincide with the upcoming Defender of the Fatherland Day and the 81st anniversary of Victory and was held at the Military History Museum of the National Military-Patriotic Center of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Students deepened their understanding of Kazakhstan’s vital contribution to the Victory, honoring the 1.5 million people who served and the 500+ Heroes of the Soviet Union from Kazakhstan.
The exploits of legendary figures such as Bauyrzhan Momyshuly, Rakhymzhan Koshkarbayev, Talgat Begeldinov, and the 28 Panfilov heroes were highlighted as cornerstones of national courage. This educational initiative promotes historical memory and civic responsibility, aligning perfectly with SDG 4’s goals of providing high-quality, inclusive education and fostering well-rounded individuals.
