A large-scale New SilkWay business forum was held in Almaty, bringing together representatives from government bodies, international organizations, business, and leading universities of the country. The event took place within the framework of Kazakhstan Transport Week and served as a platform for productive dialogue on the development of international transport corridors and the logistics sector.

The forum gathered industry experts and leaders to discuss key issues related to strengthening Kazakhstan’s transit potential, digital transformation, and modernization of logistics infrastructure within the New Silk Road area — one of the most important international transport routes.

A significant highlight of the forum was the teleconference speech by the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who officially launched the second railway line Dostyk – Moynty, opening new opportunities for transport and trade connections in the region.

Special attention at the forum was given to human capital development and the transformation of professional competencies in transport logistics. During the panel session titled “Transformation of Professional Competencies in Transport Logistics: Challenges and Prospects,” global challenges and future opportunities for preparing qualified business personnel were discussed.

On behalf of ALT University, Professor Erzhan Karsybayev from the Department of Transport Services and Business delivered a report at the panel session, sharing his expert insights on current trends and challenges in training specialists for the transport and logistics sector.
