On March 19, 2026, ALT University named after Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev officially opened its new educational and practical classroom, “Railway Track Structure,” at the Department of Transport Construction. The ceremonial ribbon-cutting was performed by distinguished railway veterans: Hero of Labor of Kazakhstan K.S. Sambetov and Honorary Railway Worker K.E. Estemisov.
The ceremony was attended by senior management and heads of track maintenance divisions from JSC “NC “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” – “Mainline Network Directorate.” This new facility is designed to bridge the gap between theory and practice, providing students with hands-on experience in studying railway infrastructure. The laboratory marks a significant milestone in the university’s mission to train highly qualified specialists for the transport industry.
