One of the main structural units that ensure the implementation of educational activities is the branch of the department, which acts as a form of cooperation and ensuring practice-oriented training in personnel training, including at the second stage of higher education, dedicated to SDG 17 “Partnership for Sustainable Development”; conducting classes in the branch allows you to acquire the necessary competencies and to involve students in professional activities.
One of the branches of the Department of “Energy” is JSC “Alatau Zharyk Companiyasy” in Almaty. The lesson on the discipline “Fundamentals and technical means of dispatching control in the energy industry” for the educational program 6B07188- IT Power Engineering, was conducted by the deputy head of the operational dispatch control department, Z.B. Sakhi, and senior lecturer of the department, G.P. Kalimbetov. Skills, knowledge and abilities in the discipline “Fundamentals and technical means of dispatching control in the energy industry” are important as for future energy specialists.
Z.B. Sakhi spoke about the principles of managing the modes of the power system, the functions of the dispatcher and modern technical means (ASCUE, SCADA, ASDA, telemechanics), ensuring reliable and efficient operation of the electric power industry.
Within the framework of the discipline, it is possible to highlight the role of dispatching control in maintaining power balance, preventing accidents and using modern digital technologies to improve the reliability of power systems.
