On February 17, 2025, the Annual General Meeting of the Union of Transport Workers of Kazakhstan “KAZLOGISTICS” took place in Astana. The event was attended by the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs “Atameken,” representatives of government agencies, associations, and ALT University named after M. Tynyshpayev, represented by Amirgalieva S.N.
The opening speech and welcome remarks were delivered by the Chairman of the Union, Chairman of the Board of JSC “NC KTZ” Sauranbayev N.E., Vice Minister of Transport Ablaliyev S.A., Deputy Chairman of the Board of NCE RK “Atameken” Amrin M.A., with the meeting moderated by Deputy Chairman of the Union Lavrinenko Yu.I.
The meeting agenda included a review of the results of 2024, approval of the action plan and budget for 2025, as well as discussions on improving the activities of working groups by transport type. In his report, General Director of STC “KAZLOGISTICS” K.E. Almagambetov outlined the Union’s key development priorities for 2025:
- Development of laws, regulations, and preparation of expert conclusions
- Advancement of the transport and logistics industry
- Human capital development
- International cooperation
- Youth policy
- Strengthening engagement with Union members
- Organizing sports events to promote health and unity among transport and logistics professionals
General Director of the Union of Road Transport Workers of Kazakhstan, Amanbayev S. Sh., highlighted issues in the road transport sector. At the same time, he noted the effective collaboration between associations and the Ministry of Transport in subsidizing carrier losses on socially significant bus routes. As a result, service quality has improved, and fleet renewal has been achieved.
ALT University named after M. Tynyshpayev plans to consider the Union’s priority areas in its activities. Participation in such meetings allows the university to establish partnerships, expand opportunities for students and graduates, and contribute to the development of Kazakhstan’s transport sector.
