On December 22, 2025, the Department of “Architectural and Construction Engineering” hosted a round table titled “Measures for the Sustainable Development of Almaty and the Application of ‘Green’ Technologies” as part of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The event featured specially invited guests, including representatives and skilled experts from the State Enterprise “Almaty Tazalyk” and “RTA proffi” LLP.
The following key issues were discussed during the meeting:
- Modernization of Urban Infrastructure: The role and significance of “green” technologies in improving the environmental situation of Almaty.
- Waste Management: Specialists from “Almaty Tazalyk” shared their experience in new urban sanitation methods and ways to reduce environmental impact.
- Innovative Solutions: Representatives of “RTA proffi” LLP presented modern technological projects used in the design of highways and city streets.
- Link between Industry and Education: Students and faculty engaged in a direct dialogue with industry professionals to discuss opportunities for applying theoretical knowledge in practice.
At the conclusion of the meeting, participants developed joint recommendations for transforming Almaty into a “smart” and eco-friendly metropolis. Such events undoubtedly enhance the professional level of future specialists and provide momentum for the sustainable development of our city.
