At the M. Tynyshpaev ALT University, with the organization of the Department of “SGD and PE” a scientific and educational round table was held on the topic “The socio-political and educational activity of M. Dulatov in the context of the formation of independent Kazakhstan.”
The event, held on the occasion of the 140th anniversary of M. Dulatov, was attended by historian scholars of Al-Farabi KazNU Zhugenbaeva G.S., Teleuova E.T., as well as scholars of the M.O. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art Babakumar Khіnayat and Rakysh Zh.S., who shared instructive, exemplary reflections on the “Alash” intelligentsia.
The opinion of the producer of the film “Oyan, Qazaq!” Aisaule Abdilda and the familiarization of students with the exhibits of the M. Dulatov Museum, presented online by the head of the “Torgai Museums” complex from the Torgai region — Mrs. Gulbanu Sarsekei — also made a special impression.
With a welcoming speech, the head of the department Abdiraiymova A.S. spoke, focusing on the activity of M. Dulatov, who awakened the spirit of the nation, and noting that studying at the university named after the “Alash” figure M. Tynyshpaev is a great responsibility for students. She expressed confidence that in the future you will contribute to the development of our state as professional specialists.
In her speech, G.S. Zhugenbaeva made a deep analysis of the multifaceted intellectual and patriotic aspects of the “Alash” heritage. She substantiated the value of the “Alash” heritage, which was directed toward the idea that knowledge and science are a great force that moves the nation forward.
In addition, in her report, E.T. Teleuova remarked: “The Kazakh intelligentsia of the early 20th century were true self-made personalities. They were the first in intellectual struggle. Therefore, the youth of this era must strive to be creative and intellectual,” thus giving the students food for thought.
The students also showed activity by asking questions about the life and works of A. Bokeikhanov, A. Baitursynov, M. Dulatov, and M. Tynyshpaev.
In the concluding speech, S.S. Imanbaeva emphasized that the 140th anniversary of M. Dulatov became an opportunity to assess his enormous contribution to our national spirituality and to the development of our state, as well as its instructive significance. The names of the “Alash” figures will always remain a symbol of patriotism and will forever be preserved in the memory of the people.
