On April 21, 2026, the scientific and practical conference “Officer-teacher” was held at the University, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the head of the Institute of Military Affairs, Colonel Ernazar Khamidullovich Ishanov.
The conference was attended by the university’s leadership, chairman of the public association “Union of Officers”, retired Major General Mahmud Utegenovich Telegusov, heads of military departments of higher educational institutions in Almaty, as well as colleagues and associates of the hero of the day.
The conference addressed the development of military education and its role in the training of qualified specialists and the mobilization reserve. Special attention was paid to a practical lesson in the discipline “Educational and ideological work” on the organization of cultural and leisure activities in the units. This format contributed to the development of students’ applied skills and professional competencies. The event is directly related to the Sustainable Development Goal No. 4 “Quality education”, as it is aimed at improving the quality of student training, developing leadership skills and educating responsible citizens.
Following the conference, the participants were awarded certificates, and a cultural program was organized with the participation of students of the Institute of Military Affairs.
