On March 18, 2026, students of the Department of “Motor Vehicles and Life Safety”, under the supervision of lecturer A.S. Karzhaubaev, visited the JSC “Almaty Heavy Machinery Plant” (AZTM) for an educational field trip.
The purpose of the visit was to familiarize students enrolled in the 6B07138 “Mechanical Engineering” educational program with the production processes of the enterprise, to study the technological features of product manufacturing, the organizational structure, and the main areas of activity of the plant, as well as to develop a comprehensive practical understanding of the functioning of modern industrial production.
During the visit, company specialists provided detailed information about the main activities of the enterprise, production technologies of finished products, as well as modern information systems and automated control tools used in the production process. The students toured the production workshops, learned about production digitalization processes, the role of information technologies in management, occupational safety requirements, and the labor organization system at the enterprise.
In the future, it is planned that students will complete their industrial internship at this enterprise.
