On April 21, in alignment with SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), Associate Professor M.J. Kundakova delivered an explanatory lecture at ALT University regarding the newly adopted Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The updated draft, adopted on March 15, 2026, represents a historic step toward systemic modernization:
-
Substantial Changes: 84% of the original text has been revised, with amendments to 77 articles;
-
Balanced Governance: Reformatting the branches of power to ensure a modern and effective administrative model;
-
Human Rights Focus: Strengthening the protection of citizens’ freedoms and enhancing the rule of law.
During the session, Professor Kundakova emphasized that these reforms, initiated by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, elevate the political system to a new qualitative level, placing the interests of the people at the core of state policy.
