On November 3, 2026, the first stage of the work of the selection committee for the admission of university students to the military department for training in reserve officer and sergeant training programs began at ALT UNIVERSITY.

In accordance with the requirements of the current guidance documents, the duration of training in reserve officer training programs will be 2 years and 5 months, and in reserve sergeant training programs — 1 year and 5 months. It should be noted that earlier the terms of study for these programs were 2 years and 1 year, respectively. Thus, the duration of training has increased by five months for each of the programs.

The first stage of the selection process involves conducting comprehensive psychological testing with candidates. This procedure is aimed at studying the individual psychological characteristics of students, assessing their personal qualities, motivation and psychological readiness for military service. Based on the test results, a conclusion is formed for each candidate about his suitability for studying at the military department.

Conducting comprehensive psychological testing is an important component of an objective and comprehensive selection of candidates, which ensures high-quality training for future reserve officers and sergeants who are able to effectively perform their tasks.

The work of the ALT UNIVERSITY selection Committee also contributes to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goal No. 4 “Quality Education”. This goal provides for inclusive and equitable quality education, as well as increased opportunities for lifelong learning. The organization of systematic selection and professionally oriented training of students at the military department contributes to the development of competencies, the formation of responsibility, discipline and leadership qualities, expanding the opportunities for young people to receive additional education and professional development.

Thus, the work of the selection committee that has begun is aimed not only at high-quality selection and training of the country’s qualified mobilization reserve, but also at developing the educational potential of students, forming an active civic position and training responsible specialists who are ready to serve the interests of society and the state.
