This year marks the 95th anniversary of the birth of the legendary figure in Kazakh literature and renowned poet, Mukagali Makataev. In observance of this significant date, cultural and educational events are being held nationwide to honor the poet’s immense legacy. The Library and Information Center of our university hosted a literary and musical evening titled “Each Poem is a World,” which brought together both staff and students.
Despite a relatively short life, Mukagali Makataev left an indelible mark on the world of national literature. The melodious songs composed based on his verses are still beloved and widely performed today. During the spiritual gathering, participants recited the poet’s heart-touching verses and shared new insights into his life and creative journey. The event provided a deep sense of cultural inspiration, allowing the university community to reconnect with the rich heritage of Kazakh poetic art.
