On May 13, 2026, the Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev ALT University hosted an official meeting with a delegation from the Guizhou Communication Polytechnic University (China). The parties discussed prospects for international academic and scientific cooperation in transport engineering, automotive technologies, and intelligent manufacturing.
The Chinese delegation included representatives from the School of Automotive Engineering, the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, the School of International Education, and Deputy Dean Xiang Wei.
From ALT University, the meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Board of Directors Arslan Seriktegi, Chair of the Board – Rector Meruert Zharmagambetova, vice-rectors, institute directors, and heads of relevant departments.
During the negotiations, the parties discussed the potential establishment of a Kazakhstan branch of the Guizhou Communication Polytechnic University, as well as the development of joint educational programs and professional standards in the following areas:

Automotive service engineering technology;

New energy vehicle engineering technologies;

Mechatronics and engineering technologies.
Special emphasis was placed on the prospects for joint R&D in electronic control technologies for new energy vehicles. As part of the visit, the foreign delegation conducted a campus tour and delivered a series of guest lectures for ALT University students and faculty:

Yang Peng delivered a lecture on “Intelligent and Connected Vehicle Technologies”;

Zhang Yaxian presented modern approaches and technologies in the field of new types of vehicles;

Liu Yi spoke about current trends and solutions in intelligent manufacturing;

Cheng Lei presented the educational opportunities and academic profile of Guizhou Communication Polytechnic University.
This meeting marks a significant step in expanding ALT University’s international cooperation and strengthening academic ties with leading Chinese educational institutions in the fields of transport technology and innovation.
