As part of the implementation of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4 — “Quality Education” and SDG 11 — “Sustainable Cities and Communities”), faculty members of the Department of Transport Construction at ALT University, along with colleagues from other institutes, visited the Aktumar Museum at the Kazakh National Women’s Teacher Training University. The visit aimed at exchanging professional experience, expanding cultural outlooks, and exploring the potential of museum pedagogy in the educational process.

Museum Objectives and Exhibition: The main objective of the Aktumar Museum is to foster respect for historical and cultural heritage, promote love for the homeland and traditions, and develop interest in research through museum archives. The museum exhibition consists of several thematic sections:

  • “Mother’s Wisdom – the Foundation of the Nation”;

  • “History of the University”;

  • Ethnographic collection “The World of Girls” and “Girls’ Creativity”;

  • A section dedicated to the role of women in society.

Contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals:

  • SDG 4 (Quality Education): Contributes to the professional development of faculty, promotes innovative interdisciplinary approaches, and supports the use of museum pedagogy in education.

  • SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities): Focuses on preserving and promoting cultural and historical heritage, developing a rich cultural environment, and strengthening national identity.

Conclusion: Such initiatives contribute to improving the quality of education, enhancing professional competencies of faculty members, and strengthening inter-institutional cooperation.
