On January 20, 2026, a meaningful meet-up session was held, organized by the Almaty City Youth Policy Department within the framework of the International Year of Volunteers for the Sustainable Development Goals.
The main purpose of the event was to discuss issues related to the organization and implementation of activities aimed at developing the volunteer movement, increasing its significance, and defining the role of youth in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. During the meeting, participants exchanged views on the importance of volunteerism in modern society, the support of youth initiatives, and the effective implementation of social projects.
Active students of our university also took part in the event, sharing their ideas and proposals in the field of volunteer activities. For the students, this meeting became a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences, explore new ideas, and gain inspiration for future social initiatives.
As a result of the meet-up, new initiatives focused on the development of the volunteer movement were proposed, and key directions for further cooperation were identified. Such meetings contribute to increasing civic engagement among young people and make a significant contribution to the sustainable development of society.
