Research, Design, and Engineering in Ecology and Occupational Health and Safety
The “Environmental Safety and Occupational Health Assessment” Accredited Research Laboratory of the ALT University named after Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev (JSC) conducts contract-based R&D and provides comprehensive services for assessing the production environment and environmental safety, primarily for transport industry enterprises.
The core activities of the testing laboratory include:
Occupational Health and Industrial Safety
- Certification and Instrumental Control: Conducting workplace certification based on labor conditions, performing complex instrumental measurements, and assessing atmospheric pollution and concentrations of hazardous substances in emissions.
- Development of Regulatory Documentation: Creation and updating of scientific and technical documentation (STD), job descriptions, and methodological materials for hazard identification and professional risk management, as well as the systematization of internal safety regulations.
- Support and Reporting: Preparation of occupational health profiles and technical reports regarding production control and industrial safety.
Environmental Measures and Ecological Engineering
- Environmental Project Development: Preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA/OVOS) documentation (preliminary and full assessments), justification of Sanitary Protection Zones (SPZ), and development of “Environmental Protection” sections for project designs.
- Emission and Waste Regulation: Calculation of standards for Maximum Permissible Emissions (MPE) and Maximum Permissible Discharges (MPD); development of hazardous waste passports, waste disposal limits, and waste management programs.
- Climate Reporting: Inventory of greenhouse gases (GHG), and the development of passports and projects concerning GHG emissions and sequestration.
- Monitoring and Support: Development and implementation of Industrial Environmental Control (IEC) programs, preparation of emission permit applications, generation of monitoring reports, and long-term consulting support for enterprises.
