ALT UNIVERSITY NAMED AFTER MUKHAMETZHAN TYNYSHBAEV PRESIDENT-RECTOR’S GRANT

1.1 The President-Rector’s Grant of ALT University named after Mukhametzhan Tynyshbaev (hereinafter referred to as the “PR Grant”) is awarded to students in accordance with these regulations.

1.2 These Regulations apply to applicants of the respective admission year and are aimed at:
1. Introducing a system of social protection measures for various categories of students at ALT University;
2. Supporting applicants who achieved high results in the Unified National Testing (UNT) but did not succeed in the state grant competition.

1.3 The PR Grant is a targeted amount of funding from the budget of ALT University, intended to cover tuition for the chosen educational program, in accordance with the curriculum and academic plans. The PR Grant does not cover expenses related to additional or repeated courses, nor does it cover the costs of eliminating academic differences. The duration of the PR Grant is one year, unless otherwise stated in the following sections.

1.4 Citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan who hold a valid UNT certificate with a score of no less than 50 and were not successful in the state grant competition may apply for the PR Grant.

1.5 The total number of PR Grants is allocated as follows:
1. Support for applicants from socially vulnerable groups – 4 grants;
2. Based on the results of a competition involving bloggers with a target audience – 3 grants;
3. Support for applicants with high UNT scores (minimum 50 points) who did not pass the state grant competition – 3 grants;
4. Support for applicants who selected one of the 4 educational programs (EPs) of ALT University with physics-mathematics as their profile subjects, scored at least 50 points in the UNT, but did not qualify for a state grant – the number of grants is determined in accordance with the minutes of the Admission Committee meeting;
5. Within the framework of cooperation with the JOO.kz information-analytical portal – 25 grants;
6. Based on the results of subject olympiads – 30 grants;
7. For school graduates from each region officially recognized as affected by the spring floods, who selected ALT University’s EPs with physics-mathematics profile subjects – 5 grants.
