A working meeting chaired by the Deputy Akim of Almaty, A.N. Nukenov, was held in Almaty, where key issues related to the development of university ideology and the enhancement of higher education institutions’ activities were discussed.
During the meeting, participants reviewed current priorities for improving the educational environment, strengthening educational and mentoring work within universities, enhancing academic culture, and fostering students’ civic responsibility. Special attention was given to cooperation between universities and city structures, the implementation of youth initiatives, the development of academic mobility, and the integration of digital technologies into the educational process.
The discussion also covered mechanisms for strengthening preventive work among youth, increasing the effectiveness of communication within the university environment, creating a safe and supportive ecosystem for students, and reinforcing the institute of curatorship and student self-governance.
Following the meeting, participants emphasized the importance of close cooperation between higher education institutions and government bodies in addressing strategic educational objectives and building a modern and sustainable university ecosystem in Almaty.
